Back in January you may have noticed we launched the brand new site for Sky's At The Races. The site was received extremely well and even helped ATR scoop a prestigious Broadcast award. Now 6 months down the line we've taken some time out to see what kind of impact the re-design had had on all-important visitors stats - the results were very pleasing.
Overall, the site now receives over 1 million visits a month, with a huge 40% increase on page views. Commercial impressions (visitors clicking sponsors' adverts) are also way up on At The Race's targets, meaning the site is working harder too. Search engine placement has also seen improvement across the board for the required keywords - largely due to the completely re-worked and standards complaint code which now supports all sections of site.
Visitor retention is up, with the average time on the site now around a massive 25 minutes, higher than ever before. Also, a recent visitor survey showed an overwhelming positive response to the new look and layout.
It's great to see sites performing well for clients like this, and showing a real return on investment - and we'll hopefully be looking to expand upon this success in the coming months as we roll out further changes for the brand.
