As part of their ongoing commitment to the environment, Yorkshire Tea teamed up with Childrens' favourite The Gruffalo to launch a five year pledge to plant one million trees in the UK, and also in Kenya (where most of our tea comes from). Before embarking on an ambitious project, Yorkshire Tea came to us to help bring the campaign to life through digital.
We were tasked with designing and building an online hub for the campaign, to integrate seamlessly with the offline marketing and PR activity, and to host a multitude of content, from news articles, social feeds, downloadable activity packs and online games and apps.View the site
Under the hood
The campaign is set to run for five years, so a key part of the website brief was that it could continually grow and evolve to reflect the multitude of offline activity. To make this process smooth and slick, we built the site around our bespoke Content Management System, allowing Yorkshire Tea to update the site with news and social content throughout the campaign. Easy peasey!
Attention to digital
In true engage-style, it's the little details which really bring the site to life. The background uses a subtle parallax effect to bring the characters off the page, and there are plenty of little surprises on the about page and map. Keep your eye on the clouds!
“Engage passionately brought to life our vision for the Yorkshire Tree website, working efficiently with other agencies and project partners with a tight timescale for turnaround. The end result is a vibrant site that's full of personality.”
