Earlier in September, Tom shared the delightful news that The Elympics had officially reached the halfway point with a £3,255 raised for local charities. *round of applause please*
A month on and we’re still cycling, running (and whatever other exercise we can do) our way to the £8,000 target we set, with just over 3 months to go. Eep.
To give ourselves a boost along the way, the keenest runners of the office decided to take their efforts to the next level. Yep, we took on The Leeds Abbey Dash.
With 16 Engage-ees stepping up to the start line last Sunday, we collectively racked up 160km (that’s £79.36 in monies) towards the Elympics charity pot. Wahoo!
The day was not without drama though. There was rain (and lots of it), hydration belts, minor injuries, broken PBs and the ultimate climax… a Giraffe brunch to celebrate our obvious victory.
Like what you’ve heard? Think we deserve an extra reward? Well let us direct you to the official Elympics page where you can donate until your heart’s content!
Failing that, you can see who’s not pulling their weight and judge them mercilessly.
