After a few months in the planning and execution, today we're excited to unveil a brand new look for Engage. Probably best described in wanky brand-speak as an evolution rather than revolution, it's seen us create a more all-encompassing look and feel that's basically a little bit more, well…'us'
So, what's changed exactly?
A new logo
The most notable update is to our logo itself. Aside from losing the dual infinity loops which have been a recognisable part of our branding since way back in 2007, we've also had the new type hand-illustrated to give it a completely bespoke, friendlier look. It's now the kind of logo you'd take to the pub for one-too-many drinks and end up sharing a kebab with at 2am, whereas previously you may have just politely shaken hands and discussed the weather.
A custom icon set
Everyone in the team now has their very own icon, each one having been custom illustrated by a lovely man called Paul, who wears glasses. The icons have all been chosen to represent something personal to each individual and now appear on their cards, pads and even stickers - allowing everyone to own a little piece of the new brand. When necessary, all these icons then come together (a bit like a Power Ranger) to form a formidable wall of icons which we then use for wallpapers and other such things.
One of the toughest decisions we wrestled with (minus the Lycra) was whether to lose 'interactive' from the logo, as Engage Interactive is still the registered name on our birth certificate after all. After speaking to various people outside of the business though, it became clear that people knew us and referred to us as simply 'Engage' - so taking this on board, we said our goodbyes and dropped the 'interactive', though we'll still be retaining it in an officially capacity and also in our URL.
Anyway, I'm sure you'd rather just see some pictures of the finished article, so I'll finish up by saying that we really hope you like our new look and feel free to share any thoughts in the comments below, as always.
