Salary

£29,000 - £35,000 depending on skills and experience

Hours and location

This is a full-time role based in Leeds, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexible hours to everyone in the team, but this is not a fully remote opportunity and we require you to be in the office for at least 3 days a week.

What we’re looking for

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving the successful delivery of digital projects, and identifying opportunities for growth within your assigned accounts. It is your responsibility to ensure that Engage is delivering the best value for money and the work we produce aligns with your client’s agreed goals and objectives.

You will actively plan digital strategies to grow our client’s performance, increase their investment with the agency, and ensure that they have an exceptional experience working with us.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship

  • Be a partner to your clients, help them get done what they need to do and support them with achieving their personal goals and objectives
  • Hold and develop junior - mid level relationships within your client’s organisation
  • Look for, and act upon, opportunities to surprise & delight your clients
  • Own and develop your account plans, ensuring you are always looking for opportunities to develop your accounts inline with both agency and client needs
  • Keep abreast of digital trends and news in your client’s industry
  • Present concepts, solutions and commercials to your clients in an interesting, easy to understand way

Communication

  • Maintain and monitor digital channels of communication - Basecamp, Email, Productive and Slack
  • Organise and lead regular Status Meetings with your clients, following the agency’s set template and process
  • Own client meetings, making sure that slides are completed in advance and that the right people have fed in
  • Share regular account updates with the wider agency, keeping the wider team in the loop with conversations you’re having with the client every step of the way
  • Keep communication channels open and inclusive with the full account team
  • Share insights and recommendations with your clients on a regular basis
  • Ensure your Account Sponsor is holding regular (monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly) meetings with your clients to ask for feedback and continually build relationships at a senior level
  • Ensure briefs are detailed and clear for the channel teams to work on them. Attention to Digital is incredibly important when it comes to briefing

Strategic and commercial thinking

  • Focus on your account targets and make plans for how we are going to meet them with the support of your Senior Account Manager of Account Director
  • Plan and negotiate your client’s investment into the agency with the support of your Senior Account Manager or Account Director
  • Find ways to present commercial solutions to clients so that they are a “no brainer” to approve
  • Proactively spot opportunities for how we can deliver better work in line with client needs
  • Focus on solutions that will allow the agency to hit annual account targets

Leadership

  • Oversee the results and work delivered for your clients
  • Be seen as the go to person on your accounts within the agency for any account queries / issues
  • Produce reports and insights that are meaningful to your clients
  • Facilitate a collaborative and harmonious team effort for those working on your accounts
  • Make sure the teams working on your clients know how your clients are performing

General

  • Oversee campaign and project delivery from inception to the final report, ensuring that we stay on track with timelines and budgets
  • Ensure that your financial forecast is accurate for your clients and presented to the Head of Client Services fortnightly
  • Invoicing clients in alignment with agreed milestones and deliverables
  • Time logging: log all time in line with company policy
  • Preparing estimates for new projects and requirements
  • Strong attention to detail across everything that you do
