This is a full-time role based in Leeds, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexible hours to everyone in the team, but this is not a fully remote opportunity and we require you to be in the office for at least 3 days a week.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Data and Reporting Analyst to establish a data and analytics team at Engage. This pivotal role will focus on building the foundations of our data capabilities, and supporting other areas of the business by delivering insights that drive results for our clients.
As a Data and Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for creating and implementing tracking requirements, then using the advanced tracking implemented, built out customised reporting dashboards to showcase performance against a client’s objectives and KPIs.

The Data and Reporting Analyst will work across a wide range of clients, supporting multiple teams and ultimately helping Engage report on the value we are driving as an agency. The data supplied will help and allow teams to provide better solutions that are backed by data through improved tracking and reporting.
This is a great opportunity for a data enthusiast to bring in new ways of thinking when it comes to not only capturing data, but also showcasing this to clients in a clear, effective and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modelling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimisation opportunities.
- Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional collaboration with performance marketing, development, design, project management and the accounts teams.
- Support to build the team’s roadmap, goals, and processes to align with the overall business objectives.
Technical Implementation
- Lead the configuration and on-going management of GA4 properties for clients, ensuring accurate data capture and actionable insights.
- Implement advanced custom campaign tracking through Google Tag Manager or other tag management solutions.
- Define and build dataLayer requirements, working closely with developers to ensure this works as expected.
- Build custom reporting dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of how AI can help enhance and automate data collection, visualisation and analysis to improve efficiencies.
Data Analysis and Insights
- Analyse data to provide actionable insights that enhance campaign performance and support client reporting.
- Provide analysis and insights for other departments based on requirements in the brief from other departments.
- Develop and maintain the reporting dashboard to visualise key metrics for clients and internal teams. (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio)
- Support attribution modelling, A/B testing and optimisation efforts for campaigns with actionable insights.
Data Strategy and Governance
- Work with other teams to support data governance best practises to ensure the quality, security and consistency of data.
- Identify opportunities to integrate data from multiple platforms using existing tools such as Adverity or Google Big Query, and suggest news ways of combining data.
- Implement cookie compliance across new websites and existing websites, creating a reusable and efficient solution.
New Business
- Feed into new business decks, providing top level insights to initiate new business conversations.
- Support other teams with findings if analytics details are provided, such as analysis on user behaviour or existing campaign / channel performance.
- Work with the new business team to extract data for case study creation.
Skills and qualifications
Essential skills
- Strong experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, including advanced event tracking and debugging.
- Strong working knowledge of BI tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI.
- Knowledge of dataLayer and how to customise based on advanced tracking requirements.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Google BigQuery and SQL to write and customise queries.
- Experience analysing data across performance marketing channels
- Experience analysing user journey behaviour and analysing drop offs, providing enhancements and recommendations.
Desirable skills
- Basic knowledge of CRO tools and creating tests
- Exposure of CRM and email marketing analytics e.g Klaviyo
- Basic knowledge of Performance Marketing platforms, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok to review data and pull through to reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of keyword and competitor analysis tools such as Advanced Web Ranking, SEMRush etc.
