This is a full-time role based in Leeds, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexible hours to everyone in the team, but this is not a fully remote opportunity and we require you to be in the office at least 3 days a week.

What we’re looking for
We’re expanding our SEO team and are looking for talented SEOs who love the chance to get stuck in.
You’ll be responsible for implementing successful SEO strategies for clients. You will work closely with our SEO Managers and the SEO Lead to develop effective strategies and processes that ensure we increase the organic visibility for Engage’s clients.
Duties and responsibilities
General
- Maintain a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with your colleagues with an ability to express ideas to the wider team via the appropriate channel. When communicating with clients you are both polite and professional.
- Log all your time accurately at the end of each working day, in line with company policy.
- Your calendar and inbox should be monitored and maintained. You’ll arrive for meetings on time and prepared, giving them your full attention.
- Show an interest and desire to continually improve your skills, sharing any relevant knowledge with the wider team.
- Use OKRs to set and achieve your personal goals.
- Effectively manage your own workload and deadlines, communicating when changes need to be made and highlighting any capacity concerns with the SEO Lead.
SEO specific
- Conduct keyword research using Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs & SEMRush (and other tools) mapped to the customer journey and intent.
- Perform technical audits and recommend solutions taking into account potential, importance and ease of the suggested changes.
- Ability to explain to internal and external developers how the recommendations within the technical audits should be implemented.
- Analyse existing content highlighting recommendations around how to consolidate, expand or optimise, based on keyword analysis.
- Highlight content gaps and opportunities based on keyword and competitor research.
- Suggest on-page optimisation recommendations based on user intent.
- Review backlink profiles and analyse the health and relevance of links currently pointing to our client’s sites.
- Support website builds and migrations by performing keyword research, proposing site structure, reviewing wireframes and executing site migrations.
- Use GA4 and Looker Studio to report on SEO metrics and tie these back to client KPIs
- Carry out SEO research to support proposals and pitches, working closely with the new business team.
- Work closely with development, design and content teams to ensure technical, structural and content changes are implemented in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with industry trends.
