Engaging with 10k cider fans for Bulmers
The brief
Bulmers approached us with two objectives; increase brand trial by developing a simple, seamless vouchering mechanic, and drive footfall into pubs and bars serving the brand. Typically viewed as a summer drink, tempting people with an ice-cold cider in the run up to Christmas could be a bit of a hurdle, so simplicity was going to be key.
Facebook messenger was the ideal platform, allowing us to create a highly personalised, seamless user journey, for a range of audiences ready and waiting to take advantage.
How we did it
Some of the best digital projects appear simple from the outside, but have a lot going on ‘under the hood’, and this is definitely one of them. Custom built in Node JS, we built a codebase which could not only create unique QR codes on the fly, but could hook directly into the till systems for participating outlets, and direct users to their nearest pub with pinpoint accuracy.
