Putting Sol in the limelight

The brief

Heineken came to us with a simple brief - develop a quick-fire Summer themed game for Sol beer, reflecting the essence of their “live with a free spirit” attitude and increasing general brand awareness whilst sprinkling in some prize giveaways.

With thousands of bottles up for grabs, we devised a simple but addictive mobile game where players had to successfully catch lime wedges in their bottle - which we all know is the only way to drink a Sol!

How we did it

Utilising the latest mobile technology, we built the game around the phone’s accelerometer - allowing the player to tilt their device to move the bottle rather than using more traditional ‘tap and hold’ game controls.

Throw in a custom identity and a suite of animated assets and you’ve got a game that packed a real punch and drove some serious numbers for Sol. Cheers to that!
