The brief

We worked with Whitbread’s Beefeater Grill to put together a lovable application to promote their latest link up with the Mr. Men Little Miss brand. Taking these iconic characters, we developed Family Portraits – a place where you can finally give your sister the title of Little Miss Naughty for smashing up your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures all those years ago.

Family Portraits lets you line up the likes of Mr. Bump and Little Miss Sunshine under your family’s name, each one representing those closest to you. Once you’ve settled on who’s Mr. Greedy and Little Miss Stubborn, you can export your masterpiece as a Facebook cover photo.

Under the hood

As well as being bags of fun, there's some pretty serious code going on under the hood… Harnessing the latest HTML5 Canvas element, the app uses the latest and most advanced web technologies (TweenMax anyone?). Oh, and it's optimised for mobile & tablet too.

Fully responsive

With such a broad audience using an equally broad range of devices to create their portraits, it was essential the app worked across all devices and that no-one was left feeling like Mr Grumpy!
