Our 3rd chapter begins...

This year is set to be pretty special for Engage. We’ll be celebrating our 10th birthday a little later on in the year, no doubt with plenty of jelly and ice cream (more on that later) but the big news to announce today is that... we’re moving!
For those who’ve been with us since the start, you’ll know we began life in Harrogate, in a small serviced office barely big enough to swing a medium sized cat. We made the move to bigger premises in Leeds back in 2013 and now we're excited to reveal plans for another move, one which will see us firmly plant our flag in the heart of the Leeds digital scene.
So where are we going?
Not far actually. We love Leeds, we love Munro House and importantly we believe in the long-term future of the building and the area. That’s why we’ve taken the decision to move pretty close to home; down two flights of stairs to be precise - although you can also take the lift if you’d prefer!
Months in the planning already, today is therefore a pretty historical day for us as the contractors arrive on site and make a start on delivering the new scheme. Space wise, we’ll be taking on just over 6,500 sq ft of open plan space, presenting a rare and special opportunity to create something genuinely amazing (no pressure then!)
The space is currently a shell that will need completely rebuilding from the ground up. Electrics, lighting, bathrooms, airflow; the works. You can get a better idea of the scale of what we’re taking on in the ‘before’ images below:
Fortunately we’re not tackling this on our own and have enlisted the help of the guys over at Absolute to deliver the scheme, based on their proven track record and experience of designing and creating great places to work.
As you’d imagine, we’ll be documenting the full process over on our Instagram so if you want to track our progress, then give us a follow. We’re expecting the whole re-fit to take around 3 months, so hopefully we’ll be up and running in the new space in July.
Now, where did I put that hard hat?
