Côte is a chain of French brasseries with 86 restaurants throughout the UK, priding themselves on great French taste from the first crumble of croissant to the perfect char on a Côte de Boeuf. They’re all about attention to detail.

We were recently tasked to increase their search visibility, drive new customers and secure restaurant bookings through Organic Search.
Our Organic Search solution had a few focus areas…
Firstly, we reviewed and optimised the Google My Business profiles of every Côte restaurant. We identified key areas to improve that would boost their visibility within local search results and Google Maps. We also ensured there was consistency across Google Search and the brand website for the smoothest customer journey.
Next, we reviewed the individual landing pages for Côte’s 22 priority restaurants. Working with each restaurant team, we highlighted key USPs for each location and answered all the questions a potential customer would want to ask. We created new on-page copy for each restaurant, crafted with local search in mind.
This also included a complete audit and refresh of existing on-page content. In order to target commercial and non-branded terms, we optimised page titles, headings and meta descriptions, ensuring the results in the search engine results pages (SERPs) were as attractive and informative as possible.
In just six months, we’ve helped Côte boost their visibility (and revenue!) for each of their restaurants - with a 699% ROI from Organic Search. Our optimisations have been successful in taking up more real estate on the SERPs for non-branded terms with an increase of 74.97% in impressions, leading to a 53.15% increase in organic clicks.
Our focus on ‘near me’ keywords produced an incredible 128% increase in organic impressions, ensuring Côte is highly visible for those high converting local customers.

Finally, our strategic keyword targeting, content creation and optimisations led to a 128 increase in top 3 rankings, a 133% increase in top 10, and a 401% increase in the overall number of ranking keywords.
To keep the progress transparent, the team developed a reporting dashboard to show the real-time impact of local search performance. It details discoverability metrics in branded and non-branded searches and key conversion metrics - including estimated revenue through Google My Business and restaurant bookings.
