We’re delighted to report some jolly good news to add some sunshine to your day. CATCH, one of the charities we support via Elympics and work with to develop their Superstars app, has had a very special visitor this week.

The surprise visit was from none other than His Royal Highness Prince William The Duke of Cambridge who spoke to many of the young volunteers to learn about their experiences and personal journeys and even received a tour of their on-site miniature farm. Insider information is that he loved the goats and got stuck in feeding them lunch!

To round off the visit, CATCH was then presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. Equivalent to an MBE, QAVS are the highest awards given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and they are awarded for life.

We’re proud to have worked with CATCH for a number of years and are thrilled that their life-changing work is being recognized and celebrated.

To all the volunteers past and present, a massive well done from all of us at Engage for your continued work to support young people in one of the most deprived areas of Leeds.

Want to help support CATCH?

As with all charities like CATCH, their success and capacity to make a difference relies heavily on the generosity of others. So, if you want to help make a genuine positive change in Leeds, then we’d love to speak to you about CATCH and show you how they’re changing the lives of young people for the better.
