Engage’s pledge to support team through cost of living crisis
Roughly a 2 minute read by Tom
As we all know, the cost of living crisis is hitting hard across the globe, and it’s not just a talking point anymore - it’s a reality. But what can we do about it? At Engage, we’ve decided to take action and support our team through these difficult times.
We’re a small business, and like many others, we’re figuring out what we can do to help. We’ve come up with a few ways to support our team, including:
👉 A £200 a month cost-of-living allowance for Nov - Jan 🥶
👉 An increase to all junior salaries
👉 A £2,500 interest free loan offered to the whole team
👉 Provided everyone access to a 1-on-1 financial coach
👉 And the advancement of salary benchmarking to take into account the current market and inflation for our annual salary reviews
As Alex Willcocks, Founder & MD of Engage Interactive, said, “We believe that looking after our team during difficult times builds trust and accountability. Yes, it’s going to have a noticeable impact on our bottom line, but it’s going to help our team - and not only is that a nice thing to do, it’s the right thing to do.”
If you’re a small business owner, we encourage you to think about how you can support your team during these challenging times. Whether it’s offering a cost-of-living allowance, providing access to financial coaching, or finding other ways to show your team that you care, every little bit helps. We’re all in this together, and by working together, we can all play our part in navigating this together.
“We understand that these measures won’t solve the cost of living crisis, but we hope that by taking action, we can make a positive difference in our team’s lives. We’re proud to be supporting our team, and we hope that other businesses will follow suit.”
